Travel Trade Marketing Associate

The ideal candidate is a trusted and experienced travel trade relations professional with experience in working with travel trade (luxury, adventure, wellness, boutique) in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with travel trade partners including wholesalers, retail agencies, tour operators, and independent travel advisors across key source markets
  • Coordinate the planning, execution, and reporting of co-operative marketing programs with trade partners, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget
  • Support the development and distribution of trade-facing sales materials, toolkits, and campaign assets tailored to wholesale and retail audiences
  • Maintain and update CRM records to track partner engagement, outreach history, campaign participation, and pipeline activity
  • Liaise with global teams and international trade representatives to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated program delivery across markets
  • Assist in the planning and logistics of trade events, familiarization trips, roadshows, and sales missions
  • Monitor trade partner activity and provide regular reporting on engagement metrics, co-op performance, and distribution trends
  • Identify opportunities to deepen existing trade relationships and flag potential new partnerships aligned with client objectives

Qualifications

Experience working within the travel trade — whether on the supplier, destination, or distribution side — is strongly preferred. Candidates should bring familiarity with how wholesalers, retail advisors, and tour operators operate, and an understanding of how destination marketing intersects with trade distribution strategy. Prior exposure to co-op marketing programs and CRM platforms is a plus.

Strong organizational and project management skills are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple workstreams across different clients and time zones simultaneously. The role requires clear, professional written and verbal communication, including comfort corresponding with international partners and global teams. A collaborative, proactive working style and a high degree of attention to detail will set candidates up for success.

A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Tourism, Hospitality, International Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will be considered. Candidates must be based in New York City or Los Angeles, or willing to relocate prior to the start date.
